Construction is now underway at 301 East 61st Street.

The developer of the new building, which will total 44,730 square feet at the corner of East 61st Street and Second Avenue, is Chance Gordy of Real Estate Inverlad Development LLC. Manuel Glas is the architect.

Permits filed with the city show the building will be 19 stories and 210 feet tall, and most of it will be made up of 30 residential units. The first floor will have 1,035 square feet of commercial space.

The air rights on the property are limited, according to NY Yimby, which means that most of the structure will be boxed in. This also means that units will only be able to use the southern and western perspectives.

The project is scheduled to be completed in November 2015. The Corcoran Group’s Tamir Shemesh is handling sales.  [NY Yimby] – Claire Moses
