One Madison, the 53-unit, 60-story residence at 23 East 22nd Street, counts famous owners such as News Corp. honcho Rupert Murdoch. The sky-high sliver of a building, which had a smooth beginning in 2006, was hit by a mixture of buyer backouts and lawsuits during the financial crisis. Things turned around after Related Companies took over the project and had it re-launched in September 2013. Murdoch spent $57 million in March on a triplex penthouse. As of early July, only one unit, a 6,620-square-foot five-bedroom asking $37.5 million, remained available. The building features a game room, a children’s play area, dining area, exercise room, caterer’s kitchen, theater room, party room and swimming pool. Contact onemadisonny.com.
