Before the armies of tourists and big box restaurants, the Times Square of the 1930s and 40s already had its glitz and bright lights. Back then, names like Humphrey Bogart flashed on billboards, and ads pitched brands like the television manufacturer Admiral and Planters Peanuts. Here is a look at noir era Times Square via Curbed.
