Permits were filed for what seems to be the city’s smallest development lot.

A new five-story building is coming to 284 West 127th Street, on a lot that is 30 by 25 feet, according to New York YIMBY. The building will have two duplex units across 2,166 square feet of residential space, the website reported. Bahary Architecture is the architect of record.

Ben Nehmadi’s Republic Investment Company is developing the property, which will include a 600-square-foot retail space. The building will cover about 80 percent of the tiny lot.

The developer bought the lot in May for $145,000, the website reported. [NY YIMBY] — Claire Moses
