JD Carlisle pays $102M for NoMad development site

Developer already filed plans to build a resi tower at 15 East 30th Street

UPDATED, 5:05 p.m., Mar 3: J.D. Carlisle Development bought a site at East 30th Street and Madison Avenue where it is planning to build a 53-story residential building for $102 million, according to property records filed with the city today.

Carlisle is reportedly planning to build a 370,000-square-foot, block-through tower that will hold 188 units at 15 East 30th Street. The developer filed plans for the project last fall.

Longtime owner Rabina Properties, a Scarsdale-based developer and management company, is the seller.

A representative from J.D. Carlisle could not immediately be reached on Tuesday afternoon. The firm is also building a new residential tower at Nearby 160 Madison Avenue.

The developer also picked up four additional properties from Rabina, including a four-story office building at 132 Madison Avenue for $7 million, a seven-story mixed-use building at 22 East 31st Street for $5 million, a five-story mixed-use at 126 Madison Avenue for $5 million and a  $3 million penthouse at 13 East 30th Street.
