For anyone tired of the traditional ceiling in their vacation home, these geodesic dome homes offer a retro alternative.

Most of these domed homes were built in the 1960s and 1970s, especially in ski and resort towns. And according to Curbed, a few have recently popped up on Airbnb and VRBO.

Dubbed “Cedar Creek Hideaway,” this 2,000-square-foot home near Mt. Hood, Oregon, features a vaulted great room, wrap-around deck and a pool table, according to Curbed.
