He won’t be seeing any proceeds from the sale, but fugitive businessman Jacob “Kobi” Alexander’s old penthouse at the Park Imperial in Midtown hit the market for $39 million.

Alexander, the former Comverse Technology founder and CEO, bought the six-bedroom, 8,000-square-foot apartment at 230 West 56th Street for $8.6 million in 2001. The condo has been on and off the rental market the past several years for around $100,000 per month.

While the 64th-floor penthouse has been available for sale, this is the first time a price has been openly attached to the unit, according to Curbed. Residents at the luxury condo building have included Sean Combs, Deepak Chopra and Daniel Craig.

Alexander fled the country in 2006 after being charged with multiple counts of fraud relating to irregularities in the trading of Comverse stock. He sold his three-unit spread at the Park Imperial for $35.2 million in 2010 to satisfy a settlement agreement in wake of a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation. [Curbed]Rey Mashayekhi
