Trump Park Avenue unit went for $25 million after lingering on the market for 12 years

Those lazy days of summer are not slowing down Manhattan’s luxury market. The second week of July saw 35 contracts — 31 condos and four co-ops — signed for $4 million or more.

The biggest transaction was a penthouse unit at 502 Park Avenue for $25 million, according to the latest Olshan Realty luxury market report. This unit — a sponsor apartment at the Trump Park Avenue — had been on the market for 12 years. Asking prices have ranged from $17.5 million to $35 million over the years. The five-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom unit spans almost 6,200 square feet.

The second biggest contract of the week was the 16th floor at 25 North Moore Street for $16 million. The apartment first hit the market for $22.5 million in April 2014. The condominium includes 4 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a media room, a playroom and an office. The unit last traded hands in 2004 for $6.5 million. [Olshan Realty] — Claire Moses
