The solution to the homeless problem just might come in the form of futuristic shelter pods.

James Furzer – winner of the 6th annual Space for New Visions competition by FAKRO – has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indigogo called “Homes for the Homeless,” according to Arch Daily.

Furzer hopes to build “a series of modular pods” that attach to the exteriors of existing buildings. The pods would provide a safe space for the homeless at night.

Currently, the project focuses solely on London, where more than 750 people are homeless on any given night.
