New York City is the biggest and most dynamic real estate market in the world, and The Real Deal is looking for talented editorial staffers to help us cover it. Here are the positions we’re looking to fill immediately.

Web Content Manager

The Web Content Manager will be responsible for aggregating content from other news sites (10-12 items a day) on tight deadlines, as well as tagging posts, optimizing SEO, adding and touching up images, creating slideshows, and general website maintenance duties.

This is not a reporting position. The ideal candidate is quick, detail-oriented, writes captivating copy, and is looking to gain business journalism experience in an aggressive digital media newsroom. Web Reporter/Producer

The web reporter/producer will be responsible for writing several original stories per week on the New York City real estate beat, as well as aggregating stories from other news outlets and helping with general website production duties.

This is the biggest and most dynamic real estate market in the world. The ideal candidate will have an interest in covering money and power and a keen sense of how the industry brings together elements of politics, business, finance and law. The ability to write clean copy on deadline is a must, as is the ability to cultivate sources and pitch story ideas.  Experience in business journalism is a plus.

Salary is competitive and is based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, a 401-K plan and the ability to grow within a rapidly-expanding organization.
