The NYU Langone Medical center is set to open a new facility in Midtown East, leasing an entire office property from the Columbia Property Trust.

NYU Langone signed a 30-year agreement to take 390,000 square feet of space at 222 East 41st, including all 25 floors, the lobby, common areas and the parking garage

The asking rent at the building is unknown.

The hospital network is set to move in at the end of this year, after the current tenant, law firm Jones Day, departs in October, according to a news release.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Bruce Mosler and Mark Mandell represented NYU Langone in the deal. Paul Amrich, Neil King, James Ackerson and Jackie Marshall of CBRE negotiated on Columbia’s behalf.

Columbia owns 26 office properties nationwide, including three in New York, according to its website.

“With this property now fully re-leased and our recently-acquired 229 West 43rd Street also nearly 100 percent leased,” Columbia Property CEO Nelson Mills said in a statement, “our New York team is fully focused on completing leasing objectives at our other Midtown property, 315 Park Avenue South.” – Ariel Stulberg
