Former Nets forward Thaddeus Young lists BK condo for $6M

Hoops star Thaddeus Young isn’t just trading in his Brooklyn Nets jersey now that he’s an Indiana Pacer. Not surprisingly, the forward is also putting his Brooklyn condominium unit on the market for $6.3 million.

Located at Robert Levine’s One Brooklyn Bridge Park, the 2,764-square-foot pad has three bedrooms, a wood-burning fireplace, bar and terrace. It’s asking $2,279 per square foot. Douglas Elliman’s [TRDataCustom] Joshua Lieberman has the listing.

Young bought the apartment at 360 Furman Street last year in his own name, paying $5.325 million, or $1,926 per square foot, according to property records.

At the time, Young had just signed a four-year $52 million deal with the Nets and said he planned to “get a Citi Bike” to ride to work at the nearby Barclays Center. “There’s one of those right outside my condo,” he told the New York Post, referring to the bike-sharing system. Young was traded to the Pacers in July.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn home prices have been on the upswing since Young bought his apartment.

The median sale price during the second quarter jumped nearly 9 percent year-over-year to $659,000, according to appraisal firm Miller Samuel.

One Brooklyn Bridge Park is also home to one of the borough’s priciest listings — an 11,000-square-foot triplex currently asking $23.9 million.
