The house seems straight out of a fairy tale, but the owners of Brooklyn’s “Gingerbread House” have had a less-than-magical selling experience.

The house in Bay Ridge is nearly 100 years old and has been on and off the market since 2009, the New York Post reported. The seller is now asking $10.99 million – down $1 million from what was asked seven years ago. The home, at 8220 Narrows Avenue, was most recently listed in July 2015 for $11 million.

Designed by architect James Sarsfield Kennedy for the shipping mogul Howard Jones, 8220 Narrows Avenue was one of the first landmarked homes in Bay Ridge. It boasts, according to the listing, stained glass features that illustrate “history” and “fantasy abound.” Inside there is a fireplace and music conservatory with cherry and mahogany flooring. The outdoor area features an archway that connects to a three car garage and a stone wall.

The home, which has has been described as having an “essential” relationship with nature by the Bay Ridge Conservancy, boasts six bedrooms across over 5,700 square feet. The outdoor area features an archway that connects to a three car garage and a stone wall.
