Hillary lands more support than Trump in NYC landlord survey

Only 3 out of 25 respondents – including Jared Kushner – said they support the Donald's campaign

Only three big-time property owners – including son-in-law Jared Kushner – out of 25 respondents say they now support Donald Trump for president, according to an admittedly very unscientific poll.

The poll, from the Commercial Observer, asked 38 prominent owners the question, “Who would you like to be the next president of the United States?”

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton received 14 votes, even converting one owner who early on in the primary season favored Republican Florida Senator Marco Rubio.

The only politician to receive  fewer votes from respondents than Trump was former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who one owner hopes will pull a November Surprise and throw his hat into the ring.

A not-insignificant 13 owners who were polled didn’t respond to the question, and seven said they didn’t like either and added a few colorful remarks about both candidates or the political system.

When the newspaper surveyed 33 owners last year, 22 said they were still undecided or didn’t answer the question. Four said they were leaning in the direction of a Republican or GOP-friendly candidate and two wanted to see Bloomberg get in the mix. [CO] — Rich Bockmann
