Sex and the country anyone? Candace Bushnell, the author of the column “Sex and the City” that inspired the TV series, is marketing her Roxbury, Conn., getaway.

Bushnell paid just $661,500 for the circa 1830 home in 2005, according to the Wall Street Journal. The three-acre property boasts three bedrooms, an apple orchard, barn, salt water pool and pool house, as well as loads of original details. But all good things come to an end, and now, Bushnell is looking to roughly double the money on her initial investment.

Last year, Bushnell sold her Greenwich Village co-op for roughly $2.5 million. And in February, she picked up a small co-op on East 74th Street for $770,000, according to 6sqft.

Bushnell told the Journal that she has written four of her books in her Connecticut home, including “The Carrie Diaries,” “Summer in the City,” “One Fifth Avenue” and “Killing Monica.” [WSJ | 6sqft] –Christopher Cameron
