WATCH: Which neighborhoods have seen the largest influx of wealthy renters?

According to an analysis by RentCafe, New York City has the nation’s largest number of high-income earners living in rental housing. There are more renters with an income of more than $150,000 living just in Brooklyn than in the entire city of Los Angeles — the borough has seen its number of high-income renter households double since 2011. But which neighborhoods are seeing the largest influx of affluent renters?

RentCafe used Census data from 2015 to compile an analysis for DNAinfo, which breaks down the growth of wealthy renters between 2011 and 2015 by ZIP code. The results reveal some surprising spots that are becoming increasingly popular with high-income renters — and, perhaps less surprisingly, one borough that has seen almost no change whatsoever.
