These are the real estate players who made the “Most Powerful Women” list

Tighe, Gilmartin, Liebman, Herman and Himmel ranked among city’s most influential

With $3.1 billion worth of deals inked in 2016, CBRE’s Mary Ann Tighe [TRDataCustom] was the top real estate professional on Crain’s list of the 50 most powerful women in the city, which also includes MaryAnne Gilmartin, Pamela Liebman, Dottie Herman and Leslie Himmel.

The real estate heavyweights rubbed shoulders with powerful women in the worlds of government, business and philanthropy.

Deputy Mayor for Housing and Economic Development Alicia Glen topped the list, which ranked contenders based on the financial size of their organization, rank within their companies and the specific impact they had on the city through their professional and personal lives.

Tighe, who handled 3.5 million square feet worth of leases last year, ranked No. 3 on the list, and was recognized for her positions in organizations like the Inner-City Scholarship Fund and the Partnership for New York City.

The No. 11 spot went to Forest City Ratner’s Gilmartin, who dedicated her lifetime achievement award at the Real Estate Board of New York’s annual gala to all the women whose talents and ambitions were overlooked and underrated by our industry.”

The Corcoran Group’s Liebman took the No. 32 spot and Douglas Elliman rival Herman came in at No. 35. Himmel, the co-managing partner of Himmel & Meringoff Properties, rounded out the real estate industry’s showing on the list at No. 47. [Crain’s] – Rich Bockmann
