After eight years, East Hampton home sells for $26M
It took eight years and a nearly $13.5 million in price cuts to sell an the home at 81 Briar Patch Road in East Hampton. The 12,000-square-foot, seven-bed, nine-bath home was listed in 2009 for $39.5 million, and the sale closed this year for $25.925 million. Originally build by architect Stanford White, the previous owner rotated the entire structure so the living room faced West to catch the glorious sunsets over Georgica Pond, which the property borders. Southampton home gets a $3.5M price cut after two years on the market
The 10,500-square-foot home at 356 Wickapogue Road in Southampton got a nearly 18 percent price cut this week after sitting on the market for two years. Originally listed at $19.5 million, the three-acre property is now for sale at $16 million. The house has eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, with a pool, pool house and a tennis court on the parcel. Sagaponack home built in 1919 asks $7M
Recently listed for $6.995 million, the two-acre property at 652 Sagaponack Road boasts a 3,500-square-foot main house, a two-story studio, garage, pool and access to a pond on the grounds. Originally built in 1919, the main house has four bedrooms and three and a half baths. It was last on the market in 1998, when it sold for $1.5 million, according to Curbed. Those were the days! Horses need homes too: Barns are the highlight in $2.9M Riverhead listing
Sure, there’s a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home on the listing at 1258 Middle Road in Riverhead, but the star of this property is its facility for housing horses. The 19.3-acre parcel has a barn with 20 stalls, an indoor riding arena, 15 acres of paddocks and a half-mile-long track for taking the ponies out for a stroll. East Hampton trying to buy 12 acres for affordable housing
The town of East Hampton is looking to buy 12 acres of land on Pantigo Road to build affordable housing. The Town Board authorized a $2 million maximum bid at foreclosure auction for the property this week, but the auction was cancelled. There is one 150-year-old house currently on the land, which was once owned by New York Giants baseball team owner Dan Topping and his wife at the time, the figure skater Sonja Henie, 27East reported.
