Macklowe Properties’ 737 Park Avenue recorded the priciest luxury contract during a week of solid sales, according to Olshan Realty’s luxury market report.

Unit 17E at the Upper East Side condo conversion – the building where the developer Harry Macklowe reportedly kept his fiancée for two years – had an asking price of $13.6 million. The four-bedroom, five-bath apartment spans 3,819 square feet.

Earlier this year, Macklowe put a sponsor unit at the building into contract at $25 million. Earlier this month, he took the stand in a messy divorce trial with his wife of 57 years, Linda.

There were 23 contracts signed last week at $4 million and above, the fourth-straight week of favorable sales figures following a third quarter when only one week saw more than 20 contracts signed.

The second-priciest contract of the week was a resale at 320 West 12th Street, which was asking $12 million. The 3,263-square-foot apartment, which sold within three weeks of listing, last traded in 2013 for $8.9 million.

Nearby, NBC late night host Seth Meyers inked a contract to sell his prewar, two-bed condo at 302 West 12th Street with an asking price of $4.5 million. Meyers paid $3.5 million for the apartment in late 2013.

The average median asking price for luxury units stood at $5.4 million for the week, with an average discount of 6 percent from the original ask to the last asking price. Luxury units spent an average of 377 days on the market. [Olshan]Rich Bockmann
