Mark David Fromm and Claudia Saez Fromm — the married duo behind one of Town Residential’s biggest-name teams — have jumped to the Corcoran Group.

The Saez-Fromm team, which also includes Ned Hudson, Viviane Giraldi and Sarah Jackson, will join the company’s Chelsea/Flatiron office, Corcoran said.

In a statement, the Fromms said they had an “incredible” five years at Town but were looking forward to “new opportunities” and the prospect of taking their business to the next level.

But Town offered its own take on the departure. “We are proud of the Fromm’s great accomplishments while working at Town and despite their challenges in 2017, we have full faith and confidence that their trajectory will only head north,” said Melissa True, Town’s managing director of culture and careers.

The Fromms joined Town in 2013 as the residential firm was expanding citywide. Previously, they had their own boutique firm, Mark David & Co., a 70-person shop that was known primarily for its rental business.

While at Town, the Fromms closed $250 million in deals, Corcoran said. In addition to high-end rentals, the team handled new developments like 88 Clinton, 53 Wooster and 52 Wooster, where they recently were marketing the penthouse for $14.8 million.

The Fromms are the latest big hire for Corcoran, whose parent company Realogy Holdings vowed last year to become a “recruiting machine” in order to stem the loss of top agents to rival firms, including Compass. Last year, Corcoran brought on new development specialist Vickey Barron from Douglas Elliman.

Meanwhile, the Fromms’ departure is a blow for Town, which lost several top agents over the past two years amid disputes — and ultimate settlements — with former co-owner Joe Sitt and Wendy Maitland, former president of sales.  More recently, Town has made an effort to rebuild its ranks and last year it tapped Luciane Serifovic — a former rental executive at Douglas Elliman — to head international sales.
