Daniel Moore is the new leader at Rockefeller Group

Co-presidents and CEOs Daniel Rashin and Tetsuya Masuda will step down April 1

Major leadership changes are afoot at the Rockefeller Group.

The company’s current co-presidents and CEOs Daniel Rashin and Tetsuya Masuda will step down effective April 1, and current executive vice president and head of urban development Daniel Moore will replace them, according to the Commercial Observer.

Rashin will be officially retiring on March 31, and the company has not yet announced Masuda’s new position.

Moore was at the Washington, D.C. office of Houston-based owner and developer Hines before he came to Rockefeller in 2016.

The Rockefeller Group is best known for building Manhattan’s famed Rockefeller Center and Time-Life Building. More recently, the company announced a major overhaul of the former McGraw-Hill Tower on Sixth Avenue.

In November, it acquired 82,300 square feet of air rights from the Cort Theatre for $41.1 million, and it is working on the massive mixed-use Flushing Commons project with F&T Group and AECOM Capital. Last month, The Real Deal reported that law firm Blank Rome was in advanced talks to lease 130,000 square feet at Rockefeller’s 1271 Sixth Avenue. [CO] – Eddie Small
