Aby Rosen has purchased a Manhattan condominium unit for $7.6 million. But it’s in another developer’s project.

The developer bought a three-bedroom unit at 42 Crosby Street in Soho, a 10-unit project from Atlas Capital Group, according to Bloomberg. The unit spans 2,798 square feet and includes a gas fireplace and a balcony.

Rosen purchased the unit through a trust and received a 9.5 percent discount on the original $8.4 million asking price. He is marketing condos at 100 East 53rd Street, where a still-available penthouse is going for $65 million.

His company RFR Realty recently landed a $140 million loan for the Paramount Hotel in Times Square. [Bloomberg] – Eddie Small
