Debt-consolidation firm National Deb Relief signed a lease for 95,000 square feet at MHP Real Estate Services and Clarion Partners180 Maiden Lane.

The company, which has more than 900 employees across seven floors nearby at 11 Broadway, was drawn to the tower’s location, capacity for technology requirements and amenities like a conference facility and new cafeteria, the Wall Street Journal reported.

National Debt Relief plans to hire hundreds of new employees over the next 12 months, and the 180 Maiden Lane space will help accommodate that growth, a representative for the company said.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Tara Stacom, who leads the team handling leasing at the building, said the deal “shows how much tenants truly value these amenity spaces and areas.”

“Companies need to put employees in spaces that can attract the talent,” she said.

MHP and Clarion last year signed the New York City Department of Investigation to 276,000 square feet in the building, which they bought in 2015 and recently pumped in $100 million for renovations.

The 1.2 million-square-foot tower is about 85 percent leased. National Debt Relief plans to move into the 29th, 30th and 31st floors by the end of the year. [WSJ] – Rich Bockmann
