Marlmar Associates hopes to demolish a one-story building sprawling over three acres in Hauppauge Industrial Park. The firm aims to replace it with a four-story building with 35,000 square feet of office space. The building, designed by local firm WSJS Architects, will also feature loft-like spaces and food service on the ground floor. The project takes advantage of recent zoning changes that allow buildings in the area up to 65 feet. The building would be the first in an effort by the city to bring new life to the industrial park. [LIBN]
