The former home of drag show venue Lucky Cheng’s will soon become a venue for construction.

According to a permit application filed with the city Thursday, Rybak Development plans to erect a seven-story residential building at 101 East 2nd Street and First Avenue in the East Village.

Rybak, mostly a condominium developer in Brooklyn, plans for a 19,000-square-foot building with 22 apartments. The ground floor will include a “recreation space.”

Rybak bought the development site at auction in March. The Lucky Cheng’s restaurant moved to Midtown in 2012. Its founder, Hayne Suthon, died in 2014.

In Sheepshead Bay, Rybak developed one of that neighborhood’s most expensive condo projects, with a 58-unit building at 1821 Emmons Avenue, next to the company’s headquarters.
