Brooklyn luxury market saw 14 contracts signed last week

Contracts were worth about $40M overall

There were 14 contracts signed in Brooklyn’s luxury market last week, split between four condominiums and 10 houses.

The properties sold with a cumulative listing price of $40.4 million overall and went for an average price of about $2.9 million, according to the latest report from Stribling & Associates.  The firm defines Brooklyn’s luxury market as all homes priced at $2 million or more.

This was a slower week than the prior one, when 17 contracts were signed for about $54.9 million overall.

Last week’s largest deal was for a townhouse in Park Slope at 171 Garfield Place that sold for $3.9 million. The home’s garden level features a wet bar and office, while the parlor level has a kitchen, living room and dining room. The basement features a rock climbing wall and a home theater.

The second largest deal was also for a townhouse in Park Slope at 331 8th Street, which sold for $3.8 million. The house is 18 feet wide and includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms and outdoor space.

Other notable deals last week included a condo at 9 College Place in Brooklyn Heights that sold for slightly more than $3.5 million and a home at 280 Carroll Street in Gowanus that sold for $3.5 million. – Eddie Small
