Lee & Associates NYC has tapped Eastern Consolidated’s Ben Tapper to help grow its newly launched investment sales division.

Tapper, 42, started as a senior managing director at Lee & Associates earlier this month, Commercial Observer reported. The brokerage announced in July that it had launched an investment sales team.

Tapper worked at Eastern Consolidated for nearly 15 years. Noteworthy deals during that time included the $90 million sale of a 230,000-square-foot self-storage warehouse at 37 Flatbush Avenue in March 2015. He represented the buyer. At the same time, he represented Lee Estate in its sale of a portfolio of 19 mixed-use buildings in Williamsburg for $107 million.

In June, Eastern Consolidated announced that it was shutting down, meaning that the firm’s 100 or so brokers were suddenly on the market. Last month, Robin Abrams and her team were tapped to help Compass grow its new commercial division. [CO] — Kathryn Brenzel
