Developers Steve Roth and Richard LeFrak no longer sit on an important Washington board for their friend President Trump. But their spouses will soon.

Trump intends to name Daryl Roth and Karen LeFrak to the board of trustees at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Variety reported on Wednesday.

Daryl Roth and Karen LeFrak both come from the arts world. Roth is a well-known Broadway producer, who has won 10 Tony Awards, and and LeFrak describes herself as an “author, composer, and philanthropic New Yorker” on her personal website.

The board also includes prominent celebrity conservatives like actor Jon Voight and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who often dabbled in bass on his nightly Fox News program.

Board members are very often donors of the sitting president and the Roth and LeFrak families rank as two of Trump’s most generous givers. In August of 2017, the White House infrastructure council that both Steve Roth and Richard LeFrak served on disbanded following the president’s comments about racist demonstrations in Charlottesville, Virginia. The incident made the council a public relations problem for some of its members, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Trump notably snubbed the Kennedy Center’s annual event for the first two years of his presidency, after gala honorees refused to attend the accompanying White House reception. [Variety]Will Parker
