Through a limited liability company, The Kinderlach Trust bought a roughly $4.4 million apartment at 21 East 12th Street on the corner of University Place, property records filed with the city last week show. Seryl Kushner, wife of developer Charles Kushner and mother of senior presidential advisor Jared Kushner, signed as trustee.

The two-bedroom pad spans 1,478 square feet, pricing the deal at about $2,964 per square foot. It first went on the market for $4.45 million in 2016, according to listings website StreetEasy.

Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling the sales at the 22-story, 52-unit development, which was designed by Annabelle Selldorf. Corcoran declined to comment.

An inquiry sent to Kushner Companies was not immediately returned.

The Kushners created the trust to hold apartments for their grandchildren, according to Politico. The trust, again through LLCs, also has bought three units at 212 Fifth Avenue.
