Porter House penthouse among NYC’s 5 priciest homes to hit the market last week

The first week of December saw pricier listings come online, with homes ranging from $19.5 million to just under $10 million hitting the market.

Combined, the top five listings in New York City totaled $62.4 million. Here’s a look at the priciest ones to hit the market between Dec. 2 through Dec. 8, according to an analysis of StreetEasy and Compass data.

1. 1 West End Avenue, Unit 29B | Lincoln Square | $19.5 million
The four-bedroom duplex at Silverstein Properties and Elad Group’s 246-unit condo spans more than 5,300 square feet. The 29th floor home includes a lofted library, a double-height entertaining room and private terrace. The 42-story building was designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli with interiors by Jeffrey Beers. Building amenities include a doorman, gym, spa, 75-foot pool, games and lounge areas and private dining room and chef’s kitchen. Cantor & Pecorella is handling the listing.

2. 161 West 13th Street | West Village | $11.88 million
The six-bedroom townhouse was built in 1899. The Greek Revival home is more than 3,600 square feet and currently contains three residential units with three outdoor terraces, though listing agent Eunice Turso of Weichert Properties notes the disparate residences could be combined. The lower levels of the four-story home is currently arranged as a duplex with four wood-burning fireplaces and a library.

3. 100 East 53rd Street, Unit 52 | Midtown East | $11.2 million
The three-bedroom condo has 11-foot-tall ceilings, a chef’s kitchen and private elevator access. The nearly 3,400-square-foot home spans the entire floor of the tower designed by architect Foster + Partners. The 96-unit building was developed by Aby Rosen’s RFR Realty and Chinese firm Vanke. Amenities include a gym, pool, sauna and steam room, yoga and pilates facilities, as well as lounge areas. Compass’ Victoria Shtainer has the listing.

4. One Beacon Court, Unit 48B | Midtown East | $10 million
The three-bedroom pad on the 48th floor of the storied condo was renovated by designer Suzanne Lovell and has Central Park views from the master bedroom. The 2,700-square-foot apartment includes a dramatic entertainment room and is outfitted with a full kitchen. The prestigious 54-story building has been home to residents including billionaire hedge funder Steven Cohen, former GE boss Jack Welch and celebrity couple Beyoncé and Jay Z. Amenities include personal concierge services, valet parking, a fitness center and entertainment lounge. Brett Malvin of Avenue Real Estate has the listing.

5. The Porter House, Penthouse West | Chelsea | $9.8 million
The duplex penthouse is about 3,150 square feet with 25 floor-to-ceiling windows and four bedrooms. The unit also has a 1,000-square-foot private roof garden and is accessible by elevator or star. The 1905-era condo was renovated by SHoP Architects in 2003 and this is the first time this unit has been on the market since. There are 19 units within the 10-story building. Amenities include bike parking, a fitness center and doorman. The listing is being handled by Maria Pashby of the Corcoran Group.
