The Continental, a 336-unit rental building just south of Herald Square that hit the market in January, gave The Real Deal a sneak peek at the final portion of its amenities space (see photos above). The newly opened portion includes a Wi-Fi enabled gaming lounge with billiards and flat-screen TVs, a fireplace with seating area, a garden terrace and a chef’s catering kitchen for renters to host private events. That comes on top of a 50-foot indoor infinity-edge pool, a spa, a health club and a fitness center with views of the Empire State Building, as well as a yoga studio and locker rooms. All told the amenity space comprises 15,000 square feet of the 53-story tower at 885 Sixth Avenue.

Renters are following the amenities to the building, according to Citi Habitats Marketing Group, the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for the Continental, and Citi Habitats has leased more than 85 percent of the units in the building, designed by Costas Kondylis and owned by Tower 111 LLC. Asking rents for the studios and one- and two-bedroom units range from about $3,300 to more than $10,000, according to the Continental’s website, but Streeteasy.com shows studio units renting for about $2,600.

A complimentary continental breakfast of coffee, tea and muffins is served in the lounge of the Continental Club & Spa daily. The 24-hour doorman building also features on-site motor vehicle and bicycle parking and is just down the block from another Citi Habitats-marketed luxury rental: the Beatrice, which sits on top of the Eventi Hotel. — Adam Fusfeld
