Jeter relists Trump Tower penthouse with price cut

Derek Jeter has relisted his 88th floor penthouse in the Trump World Tower at UN Plaza, with a $2 million discount. The New York Post reported the Yankee captain is putting his 5,425-square-foot apartment, at 845 United Nations Plaza, on the market for $17.95 million with Carrie Chiang, a senior vice president with the Corcoran Group.

Jeter first listed the unit in September 2010 for $20 million with Debra Stotts of Trump Sales and Leasing, but he pulled it from the market last August.

Chiang said Jeter recommitted to selling his apartment because he “is downsizing to a Manhattan pied-à-terre apartment.” The Post noted that the recent completion of a 30,000-square-foot mansion in Tampa, Fla combined with his split from former girlfriend Minka Kelly means he doesn’t need something so big. But last May, he was seen checking out a penthouse at 15 Madison Park North.

Regardless, The Un Plaza apartment has 16-foot-high walls, 360-degree views of Manhattan, four bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a media room, a pool table, and a poker table. [Post]
