Solow selling development site on East Side

Sheldon Solow, the man behind 9 West 57th Street — one of the city’s more glamorous office addresses — is selling off a huge development site in Murray Hill, the New York Post reported.

The site, at 616 First Avenue between 35th and 36th streets, has 730,240 buildable square feet with permits in place for two towers. One tower can rise 37 stories; the other 47, the Post said.

Solow spent years clearing all the zoning and environmental reviews required for construction to begin. Studley Capital Transaction Group’s Woody Heller is representing the seller. [Post, 2nd item]
