A single-family Limestone Home On Park Avenue belonging to the son of one of former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon’s closest aides has come on the market asking $14.7 million.

Sagi Genger, whose father, Arie Genger, was appointed personal emissary to the Bush administration by Sharon in the early 2000s, and his wife, Elana, put their six-bedroom residence at 1211 Park Avenue up for sale today, according to Streeteasy.com. It is listed by the Corcoran Group’s Beth Benalloul.

The 20-foot-wide, five-story property has been restored and features 5,200 interior square feet and 750 exterior square feet, according to the listing.

While Benalloul declined to comment on the identity of her clients, she praised the property’s “rare” roof deck, which overlooks Park Avenue and a “wall of glass” on the property’s parlor floor. Benalloul’s clients are moving, she said, because they need more space for their family. They purchased the property in 2004 for $4.28 million, public records show.

The townhouse has a surround-sound stereo and a state-of-the-art security system throughout the house, according to the listing. The building’s ground floor could also serve as a separate office, the broker said, because it has its own entrance.

Genger works for a medical device maker. His father, a chemical magnate, was a major contributor to Sharon’s political campaigns, according to published reports. However, in 2007 his mother, Dalia Genger, accused Sharon’s son Gilad Sharon of fraudulently accepting $1.8 million in a Canadian real estate deal two years prior.
