Hank Azaria is parting ways with his Soho apartment, the New York Observer reported.

After two years on the market as a $16,000 per month furnished rental, the actor, likely best known for lending his voice to “The Simpsons,” has sold the fifth-floor co-op at 84 Mercer Street for $8 million.

The buyer is the mysteriously-named Third World Dog Trust.

Azaria purchased the property from photographer and film director Cindy Sherman in 2005 for $4.6 million, calling it “the Happiest Place on earth.”

The pad boasts a 50-foot entrance, a 700-square-foot living room, a 21-by-27-foot master bedroom, and a master bath that accommodates a Jacuzzi and “matching antique pedestal sinks.”

Bruce Ehrmann of Stribling & Associates was tapped to list the rental two years ago. Contacted by the Observer for comment on the recent sale, Ehrmann said only that the property was not publicly listed. [NYO]Julie Strickland
