Billy Macklowe, the developer who bought the location of the now-shuttered Bowlmor Lanes on University Place, is planning to build a 23-story residential development at the location.

William Macklowe Company plans to demolish the existing site — on University Place between East 12th and East 13th streets — to make way for the 52-unit condominium. The project will have 107,965 square feet of residential space, with apartments averaging about 2,000 square feet in size.

Roughly 13,000 square feet will be dedicated to commercial space and the tower will include a 1,050-square-foot community facility.

The existing four-story, 75,000-square-foot building at 110 University Place was home to a parking garage in addition to the bowling alley.

According to the permit application filed with the city, SLCE is the architect of record, New York YIMBY reported. [NY YIMBY] — Claire Moses
