From the Luxury Listings NYC website: Former Mets and Yankees pitcher David Cone is in contract to sell his Upper East Side home, Cone’s wife Taja said.

The baseball veteran and commentator, nicknamed “Coney,” was asking an ambitious $6.49 million for the 2,350-square-foot, four-bedroom condo at the Lucida at 151 East 85th Street. The apartment is in contract for approximately $2,511 a square foot, or just under $6 million, according to listing brokers Michel Madie and Victor Alia of Michel Madie Real Estate Services. Victor is also Taja’s brother

The sale is set to close in the coming weeks.

“We loved the classic layout,” Taja Cone said, adding that this is the first resale in four-bedroom C-line. “Not too many people want to resell.”

The five-time World Series champion paid $3.76 million for the unit in 2011.

Amenities include floor-to-ceiling windows, a chef’s kitchen and an in-building lap pool and Jacuzzi.
