The Real Deal is seeking a full-time editor to help expand our coverage of real estate news, with a focus beyond on current major markets of New York, South Florida and Los Angeles. As Editorial Development Director for The Real Deal, you will focus on building out coverage in key new cities, hiring and training editorial teams to deliver influential, market-moving news to an audience of real estate insiders, investors, and professionals.
- Working with The Real Deal’s senior editors to understand the company’s editorial mission goals, processes, and systems.
- Identifying, hiring and training reporters in new markets.
- Editing breaking news and long-form stories to The Real Deal’s standards and eventually training other editors to do the same.
- Identifying opportunities in other cities by understanding The Real Deal’s readership and audience analytics as well as being able to dissect local demographic and other relevant information.
