Park Ridge officials mull plan for apartment complex

GSP Development is proposing a 91-unit apartment project in suburban Park Ridge. Plans call for a five-story residential building featuring a two-story parking garage. Park Ridge village officials are considering a plan in which the city would give GSP the parking lot at the northwest corner of Euclid and Summit avenues and in return the developer would set aside space in the building’s garage for public parking. Parlor Pizza coming to Alter Group office tower

Parlor Pizza Bar is taking 9,000 square feet in the main level of 20 West Kinzie. The building is developer Alter Group’s 17-story office complex at 405 North Dearborn Street in River North. It’s the third location in Chicago for the chain.[REJournals]

Simon wrapping up overhaul of Gurnee Mills

Simon Property Group is wrapping up a $6 million renovation of the Gurnee Mills outlet mall in the far northern suburb. The work has included updates to a number of lights, fixtures and furniture, along with a new look for the food court. Nominations for endangered properties being accepted

Preservation Chicago is accepting nominations for the organization’s annual list of “Most Endangered” properties. At-risk historic or architectural gems, or community favorites can be nominated through Jan. 7. The 2019 list will be announced Feb. 27 at the Chicago Architecture Center. [Block Club]

Mozzarella Store opening outpost along Mag Mile

The Mozzarella Store is joining the retail offerings along the Magnificent Mile corridor. The Indiana-based chain of cheese shops is opening its first location across from the Chicago Water Tower on Michigan Avenue.
