They listed it in 2018 for $1.3 million and cut the asking price to less than $1.2 million in February. It sold last week for $1 million. Dina Lissner of Compass had the listing. Arlington Heights village officials recommended the developer of new row houses on an empty block downtown be allowed to pay a fee in lieu of including affordable housing units in the project. The 16-unit “Sigwalt 16” project on Sigwalt Street between Chestnut and Highland avenues would have units priced between $600,000 and $800,000, and officials argued it would not be possible for units to be offered at an affordable price. The developer instead will pay $120,000 to the village. [Daily Herald]
