Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ Mario Greco had a busy week before Labor Day, claiming the top three listings to appear on the MLS. They’re not exactly newcomers to the market, though: the single-family homes have seen 12 re-listings between them since they first hit the market, as luxury single family homes have been slow sellers this year.

Only one of this week’s priciest listings was a new construction condominium, which have fared well in Chicago’s Downtown luxury market this year. Last week’s five most expensive listings came from condos in Loop and Near North Side and a single family residence in Lake View.

The listing information is from Redfin and property records.

1905 N. Howe St. | Lincoln Park | $3.95 million
This 6,200-square-foot greystone was custom-built by Enrons Development in 2011 and have seen little wear-and-tear, only inhabited a few weeks per year ever since. With six beds, five-and-a-half bathrooms, a garage, a wine room, a sunroom, two fireplaces and three outdoor decks, the home is modern and bright. Mario Greco of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has the listing.

3754 N. Janssen Ave. | Lake View | $3.095 million
This 7,000-square-foot single family home was built in 2007 on a quiet one-way street. The home has brick and limestone exteriors, detailed indoor trimmings, and coffered ceilings. The property boasts a three-car garage, a secluded patio, heated baths, two fireplaces, a mud room, and a home office. Mario Greco of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has the listing.

55 W. Schiller St. | Near North Side | $2.995 million
This historic 4,000-square-foot single family home was gutted and redesigned by Dankmar Adler in 2017. The master bedroom and bathroom sit on the roof in a unique third-floor suite addition. The 1868 Gold Coast home has five bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, a two-car garage, four fireplaces, pocket doors, a back yard and two patios. The property has been listed nine times since June 2017. Mario Greco of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has the listing.

159 E. Walton Pl., Unit 16A | Near North Side | 2.85 million
This 3,259-square-foot condo sits on the 16th floor of the Palmolive Building, which opened in 1929 overlooking Michigan Avenue. The condo has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, two fireplaces, and detailed trimmings in a building that offers a spa, a fitness center, and valet parking. Emily Sachs Wong of @properties has the listing.

146 W. Erie St., #1103 | Near North Side | 2.522 million
The Bentham is still under construction, but it is lining up tenants. This 11th floor condo will have 3,183-square-feet, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a private elevator and a terrace. Tenants will have access to a parking space, a fitness center and an outdoor pool in this 31-unit building. The property was first listed in May 2018. Art Collazo of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing.
