601W Companies is buying another office building. It’s not on the scale of its massive Old Post Office, but the developer is paying $67 million for a 575,000-square-foot property at 801 S. Canal St. [Crain’s]

A 7,000-square-foot unit at No. 9 Walton just sold. Jeffrey and Linda Wolfson sold the unit on the 33rd floor for $8.2 million, a $4 million price chop from its asking in January. The bought the four-bedroom condo in the Gold Coast tower late last year. [Tribune]

Bickerdike Redevelopment Corp. wants to build a 100-unit affordable housing development. The nonprofit developer would build the project on a city-owned lot in Logan Square. [Curbed]

The last home designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright before his death sold Wednesday for almost $1.7 million. The 3,000-square-foot Norman Lykes House, located in Arizona, attracted nearly 20 bids at a public auction after going on and off the market over the past few years. The architect died in April 1959 at age 91. [Associated Press]

An independent consultant has ranked four proposals for the Lake County casino ahead of Waukegan city officials’ vote Thursday night. Using a points-based rating scale, Las Vegas-based Full House Resorts was identified as the top contender, followed closely by North Point Casino. The proposals by Churchill Downs Inc. and Rush Street Gaming game placed third. [Sun-Times]

When FBI agents raided Lyons’ village hall last month as part of a sprawling federal political corruption investigation, they seized information on a red light camera company, a brewery, a video gaming magnate and a construction magnate, among other evidence. The town was also served a federal grand jury subpoena demanding records on a hotel and resort backed by Mayor Christopher Getty, the home security system at Getty’s residence and the entire Democratic Organization of Lyons Township the same day. A nearly 5,000-square-foot penthouse in a newly built West Loop condo building sold for about $4 million. The listing agent tells Crain’s that two other penthouses in Sulo Development’s Hayden West Loop will also close for roughly the same price in the next couple of weeks. He said the 28-unit building is sold out. [Crain’s]

Though Chicago’s largest skyscraper, the Willis Tower, is known for being a tourist attraction, its $500 million renovation aims to make it more relevant to locals. The updated spaces pay homage to specific neighborhoods, including the West Loop/Fulton Market and the Gold Coast. The project, known as Catalog, will add restaurants, including a new fast-casual spot by chef Rick Bayless, a co-working space and an Urbanspace food hall. [Eater]
