Chicago Cubs’ Jed Hoyer lists Ravenswood home for $3.65M

Chicago Cubs president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer listed his Ravenswood home for $3.65 million.

The custom home was built in 2006 and includes six bedrooms and five bathrooms. Designed by the Morgante Wilson architectural firm, the 7,500-square-foot home has a small theater, two heated garages, two mudrooms and an oversized backyard with a sports court. Hoyer and his wife listed the property on March 1.

The house also has oversized windows, intricate moldings, and built-ins, and a large kitchen with commercial-grade appliances.

Hoyer’s next home will likely still be in Chicagoland, as he signed a five-year contract with the Cubs in 2020, according to Realtor.com.

Hoyer purchased the home in 2019 for $3.08 million, after selling a five-bedroom home in Lincoln Park for $2.4 million the same year. He told Elite Street at the time that he was looking for both a larger house and a larger lot. The Ravenswood home sits on a lot that measures 50 feet by 161 feet.

Hoyer has been with the Cubs since 2011. He was initially named general manager of the Cubs, and was promoted to head of baseball operations in 2020. He had previously worked for the Boston Red Sox and the San Diego Padres.

Jeff Lowe, president of Compass’ Lowe Group Chicago is the listing agent on the property.
