The most expensive home sold last month in Dupage County, the second-most populous Illinois county behind Cook County, closed for $4.7 million, up $700,000 from June’s priciest.

Four of the top five were in Hinsdale while the other was in Clarendon Hills. The bottom rung of the group also came in Hinsdale, where a $2.2 million home dropped below June’s $3 million low.

Dupage spans 330 square miles and its 924,000 residents rank it behind only Cook County in population, U.S. Census Bureau data show. It includes the affluent towns of Hinsdale, Naperville and Oak Brook.

The data was collated by Zillow from information provided by Midwest Real Estate Data and doesn’t include all off-market deals. Read on for more information on the top five.
