The Real Deal — an award-winning 60,000-circulation real estate news magazine with over 2 million website visits a month — is seeking a part-time contributing reporter eager to launch their career in journalism.
The position requires working 80 hours per month, primarily in the first two weeks of the month. The job is a great way to get a foot in the door at a fast-paced, rapidly expanding news organization that is the go-to news source for the city’s top real estate, finance and investment professionals. The role involves writing and reporting for the magazine’s regular monthly sections, including the Q&A and national market report. There will also be opportunities to contribute originally reported stories for the magazine and website as well as to freelance longer pieces outside of business hours.
Applicants should have strong news judgment and be able to turn in clean copy on deadline.
