Across the U.S., the number of home listings slid 2 percent to 1,023,739 in February from the month before.
The Real Deal analyzed monthly listings data of 928 U.S. metro statistical areas from real estate data firm Zillow.
Over the past seven years, the total number of homes on the market in the U.S. is still down more than 69 percent from its peak in 2018.
The MSA that experienced the greatest month over month increase in listings in February was Pecos, TX. That region saw 14 percent more homes put on the market last month.
The MSA with the steepest decline in listings was Seneca Falls, NY, which saw listings plummet by 18 percent.
