This dataset ranks New York City’s neighborhoods by the dollar volume of commercial property changed hands in 2023.
The Real Deal analyzed all commercial sales worth $1 million or more recorded in 2023 across the five boroughs. For this analysis, we excluded large portfolio sales spanning multiple neighborhoods, leaving a sample of 2,558 deals totaling nearly $19 billion.
The dataset included the ranking of all 168 neighborhoods where commercial transactions of $1 million or more happened in 2023, plus a deal-count running of neighborhoods with transaction of $50 million or more, as well as the full dataset with details of all of the city’s $1M+ commercial deals that year.
