Midtown office market


LEASING ACTIVITY IN MIDTOWN DECLINED IN 2019, AFTER REACHING an all-time high the year prior. McCann Worldgroup inked the biggest lease of the year at 622 Third Avenue, taking 464,598 square feet of space. WeWork’s lease at 437 Madison Avenue for 362,197 square feet trailed close behind. Despite the leasing slow- down, asking rents rose to $85.80 per square foot, up 3 percent from the year prior.
