Median housing prices re-mained the highest in North Brooklyn throughout 2019. Peaking in the first quarter at $1.26 million, the market finished the year at $1.15 million. Northwest Brooklyn was its closest competitor, with prices ranging up to $1.25 million. By contrast it is relatively inexpensive South Brooklyn, whose median price never exceeded $692,410. This sector saw the highest number of sales during the year with 6,374 from the last quarter of 2018 to the last quarter of 2019.

Red Hook was once again (surprisingly) the most attractive neighborhood for buyers in 2019, with median sales prices at $1.9 million. Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens were not far behind with median sales prices of $1.8 million and $1.6 million, respectively. Williamsburg saw the most transactions through the year, ending with 621.
