Speaker Bios:

A Houston native, Tilman Fertitta is often referred to as “the world’s richest restaurateur.” Through his restaurant and hospitality company Landry’s, Fertitta owns more than 600 properties in 36 states and in over 15 countries. His restaurants include a signature collection of eateries, as well more than 80 different restaurant brands and award-winning concepts.

Amir Korangy is the founder and publisher of The Real Deal. Prior to launching the real estate media company in 2003, he held several positions at Yahoo Inc. He attended Boston University and Emerson College for degrees in Journalism and Foreign Policy. Though he lives in Manhattan, he secretly loves Brooklyn.

Roberto Contreras IV works in new project selection and new project fundraising and deal structuring for DC Partners. With a special focus on fundraising, Roberto is integral on getting early institutional funding for DC Partners projects in addition to serving as the Managing Director for sister Company, Houston EB5.

As the President of Douglas Elliman, Texas, Catherine Lee is responsible for the expansion of Douglas Elliman across the state. She oversees the company’s complete suite of services, including new development marketing, traditional real estate sales, relocation and referrals, builder marketing, and commercial real estate.

Nina Magon is the founder and principal of Nina Magon Studio, which delivers luxurious and unique residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, inclusive of a collection of lifestyle product designs. Her edgy and daring aesthetic infuses each design with her signature style by using bold elements, color, and timeless modernity.

Jess Hardin is the Texas Bureau Chief at The Real Deal, where she covers commercial real estate in the Lone Star State. She previously covered growth at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and helped launch digital news source Mahoning Matters in the wake of the closure of the Vindicator in Youngstown, OH.
